This move shows everyone that you two are close and in-sync, without jamming your tongues down each other's throats! You don't want to whisper the whole evening, however, or else others might think you are rude and talking about them - just once or twice throughout the evening is ok.
Gently pinching his butt on the sly is another way to really make your man melt! You don't want to overdo it, and you want it to be a bit of a surprise, but if you unexpectedly grab your boyfriend's butt, it shows him that you are physically attracted to him, and shows others that he is off-limits! Appreciatively stroking his bicep or gently rubbing the back of his neck are other physical ways to show attraction without being too over-the-top.
In general, use your own common sense and the cues that your boyfriend gives you to let you know what is appropriate. Anything that makes you both feel good without looking trashy is usually just right.
