?There's no question that multiple Grammy-winning singer Adele has had heartache in her life, thanks to her gutwrenching songs of love gone wrong. But lately Adele has a much happier relationship with a new man: Simon Konecki.
Before meeting Adele, Konecki, 36, probably could have written his own songs about tricky relationships. Konecki, who attended the same boarding school as British princes William and Harry, is still married, although he is currently estranged from his wife, and has a 5-year-old daughter.
Konecki is the co-founder of the British company Life Water, and is in charge of the company's charity program, called Drop4Drop. The charity's goal is to help provide clean water to developing countries that are in desperate need. His work with Life Water and the charity have earned him the nicknames "The Waterboy" and "Swampy."
Adele is no stranger to men with unusual names. The tragic songs on Adele's "21" album were inspired by her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Slinky Winfield, who left Adele, prior to her musical success, for a Burberry model. Like Adele, Slinky is a musician, although his work is less mainstream and more geared toward the art-school crowd.
Some have questioned how serious the relationship actually was and whether Adele was much more invested in it than Slinky. Sources have reported that not only did the couple never actually live together, Slinky never claimed that Adele was his girlfriend.
However, this hasn't stopped Slinky from actually demanding that Adele pay him for his role in "inspiring the songs" that won her the Grammys and worldwide acclaim. He has also released an album parodying Adele's songs.
